Who We Are
Robert Half is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Business Systems Analyst II to support and enhance Protiviti’s ERP platform. In this role, you will partner closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to analyze complex business challenges, define system requirements, and deliver scalable solutions that improve operational efficiency and user experience.
You will play a key role across the full software development lifecycle—leading requirements gathering, assessing system impacts, and designing and executing testing for enhancements and integrations—while also providing ongoing production support for critical ERP functions.
The ERP Applications team works in close partnership with Protiviti business units to support and optimize a cloud-based Financials ERP platform that powers core business processes including accounting, project management, time and expense, invoicing, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance.

What You'll Do
Business Analysis & Solution Design
Analyze business problems and identify system-based solutions that align with organizational goals
Gather, document, and validate business and functional requirements with stakeholders
Evaluate multiple solution options and recommend optimal approaches
Ensure business processes, policies, and procedures are effectively supported by system capabilities
Systems Evaluation & Requirements Development
Develop detailed functional and system requirements for medium-scale enhancements and integrations
Assess upstream and downstream impacts of system changes to ensure end-to-end solution integrity
Create process flows, system documentation, and design artifacts to support development efforts
Testing & Delivery
Design and execute integration and user acceptance testing for new systems and enhancements
Develop test plans and validate system behavior against business requirements
Partner with QA and development teams to ensure quality delivery and successful releases
Production Support & Continuous Improvement
Provide day-to-day support for ERP production systems, troubleshooting and resolving complex user issues
Create complex ad hoc reports and queries to support business needs
Lead or support implementation of system enhancements, defect fixes, and process improvements
Partner with cross-functional support teams to ensure integrated and reliable system operations
Collaboration & Leadership
Collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, and QA teams to deliver end-to-end solutions
Provide guidance and support to junior analysts on requirements, testing, and issue resolution
Participate in or lead special projects and strategic initiatives
What You'll Need
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
4+ years of experience in business systems analysis or related functional area
Proven experience supporting enterprise applications and ERP systems
Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
Advanced SQL skills and ability to build complex queries and reports
Experience with enterprise systems (e.g., ERP platforms such as PeopleSoft or similar)
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
Familiarity with system integrations and data flows across applications
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and vice versa
Effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Experience creating detailed documentation, process flows, and test plans
Ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated customer service mindset and adaptability
The typical annual salary range for this position is shown below and is negotiable depending upon experience and location.
$77,000.00 - $113,000.00
