The Opportunity

This is a highly visible and strategic leadership role for an experienced IT professional to serve as the Site IT Manager, acting as the single point of accountability for all IT services and infrastructure operations across Abbott Park and aligned Illinois sites. In this role, you will bridge business and technology, ensuring that IT strategy, services, and solutions are tightly aligned to business priorities and deliver measurable value.

You will lead end-to-end IT service delivery at the site, overseeing both infrastructure (including End User Compute and smart hands support) and application enablement in close partnership with global BTS teams. This position offers the opportunity to shape and influence the local IT portfolio, drive digital workplace transformation, and ensure operational excellence through strong vendor management, governance, and compliance practices.

As a trusted advisor to business leaders, you will play a critical role in defining IT strategy at the site, enabling business growth through innovative technology solutions, and ensuring regulatory, quality, and cybersecurity standards are consistently met. This role is ideal for a collaborative, results-driven leader who thrives in complex environments and is passionate about delivering high-quality IT services while developing high-performing teams.

What You’ll Work On

Serve as the primary IT leader and single point of contact for all IT-related matters at the site

Oversee day-to-day IT operations, including End User Compute, smart hands support, and infrastructure services

Manage and coordinate delivery of IT solutions (infrastructure and applications) in partnership with BTS products and services

Act as the bridge between business and IT, gathering requirements and translating them into scalable, high-quality solutions

Lead and support business projects with IT involvement, ensuring alignment to timelines, scope, and enterprise standards

Build and maintain strong relationships with business leaders, stakeholders, and IT partners across all levels

Manage the site IT portfolio, including application inventory, demand intake, and alignment to global IT strategy

Drive service excellence by monitoring performance, leading service reviews, and ensuring SLA adherence

Act as the escalation point for critical IT incidents and ensure timely resolution of issues impacting operations

Lead and coordinate IT project delivery activities, remove obstacles and ensure successful outcomes

Oversee managed service providers and vendors, ensuring strong performance, accountability, and compliance

Ensure full alignment with corporate IT policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements

Lead audit readiness and act as the primary contact for IT audits, including remediation planning and execution

Enforce cybersecurity policies, ensure protection of sensitive data (including PII), and support compliance with relevant regulations such as PCI-DSS

Collaborate with legal, compliance and global IT teams to address emerging regulatory and security requirements

Manage all IT-related communication at the site and ensure transparency across business and IT stakeholders

Support internal and external customers with reliable, high-quality IT services and solutions

Lead, coach, and develop IT staff while fostering a positive, high-performance work environment

Drive alignment with global IT strategy, governance, and service delivery models (Plan/Build/Run)

Ensure stable, secure, and compliant operation of the site’s computing environment, including servers, devices, and applications

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

Overall, 8 + years IT experience.

Minimum 5+ years of IT operations, infrastructure, or service delivery experience

At least 2+ years in a leadership or management role with direct team or vendor oversight

Strong people leadership skills with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization

Solid understanding of modern IT environments (devices, networks, ERP systems, security, and infrastructure).

Deep knowledge of IT infrastructure, end user computing, and enterprise environments

Proven track record of delivering IT services in complex, multi-site or enterprise environments

Experience in managing IT portfolios, projects, and business-facing technology solutions

Strong background in vendor management and managed delivery models

Exceptional ability to coordinate across multiple IT teams, vendors, and stakeholders

Experience with IT controls, audits, and regulatory compliance environments

Ability to understand business strategies and translate them into aligned IT solutions and portfolios

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences

Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex IT issues

Integrity & Accountability: Strong commitment to delivering results, meeting expectations, and maintaining high ethical standards

The base pay for this position is

$99,300.00 – $198,700.00
