Job Summary
The Power Platform Developer is responsible for the design, development, administration, and support of enterprise solutions built on the Microsoft Power Platform within KeyBank’s technology environment, with a primary focus on Power Automate, Power Apps, and Power BI. This role combines hands-on development expertise with platform administration responsibilities, including environment management, capacity monitoring, governance, security, compliance, and operational support aligned to KeyBank standards.
The Power Platform Developer works as part of a collaborative KeyBank technology team of developers, administrators, architects, and business analysts to deliver scalable business solutions that automate processes, improve reporting and analytics, and enhance operational efficiency across KeyBank lines of business and shared services.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Development
Design, develop, test, deploy, and support business solutions using Power Apps (Canvas and Model-driven), Power Automate, and Power BI.
Collaborate with KeyBank developers, architects, business analysts, product owners, and business stakeholders to deliver enterprise solutions that meet business, technology, risk, and compliance requirements.
Build automated workflows and business process solutions using Power Automate.
Develop user-friendly applications in Power Apps that improve productivity and streamline operations.
Create and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to support KeyBank business decision-making, operational reporting, and governance needs.
Integrate Power Platform solutions with KeyBank’s Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including SharePoint Online, Dataverse, SQL Server, Azure services, APIs, and approved third-party or enterprise applications.
Participate in peer code reviews, testing, and solution validation activities.
Platform Administration & Environment Management
Support the administration and management of Power Platform environments, including configuration, deployments, and lifecycle management.
Monitor and manage platform capacity, including Dataverse database, file, and log utilization.
Assist with capacity planning and recommend actions to optimize platform usage and performance.
Support KeyBank governance processes, including environment provisioning, DLP policies, connector management, solution standards, security reviews, and platform administration controls.
Participate in deployment activities across development, test, and production environments.
Help maintain security, access controls, regulatory compliance requirements, audit readiness, and platform best practices consistent with KeyBank technology and risk management expectations.
Operations & Support
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Power Platform applications, workflows, reports, and environment configurations.
Participate in production support and incident resolution activities.
Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to improve solution reliability.
Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, support procedures, solution designs, and operational handoff materials that support KeyBank’s enterprise technology support model.
Identify opportunities for KeyBank process improvements through automation, analytics, low-code solutions, and reusable platform patterns.
Stay current with Microsoft Power Platform features, roadmap enhancements, and development best practices.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
3+ years of experience developing solutions using Microsoft Power Platform technologies.
Strong hands-on experience with:
Power Apps
Power Automate
Power BI
Experience working in a collaborative enterprise technology team environment, preferably within a financial services, banking, or other regulated organization.
Experience supporting or administering Power Platform environments.
Experience monitoring and managing Power Platform capacity and resource utilization.
Experience with Dataverse, SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365, SQL, and API integrations.
Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), testing, deployment, and support methodologies.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Power Platform Center of Excellence (CoE) practices.
Experience with Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), solutions, pipelines, or GitHub.
Understanding of Power Platform licensing and tenant administration.
Experience developing custom connectors and integrating with REST APIs.
Knowledge of Power Platform governance, security, compliance controls, and audit expectations in a regulated enterprise environment such as KeyBank.
Microsoft Power Platform certifications.
Experience partnering with technology risk, information security, compliance, infrastructure, and business teams to deliver solutions aligned with enterprise standards.
Experience supporting enterprise reporting and analytics solutions using Power BI.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $71,000.00 - $125,000.00 annually. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for incentive compensation which may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives.
