KeyBank is seeking a Salesforce Master Engineer & Technical Team Lead to provide senior-most technical and people leadership for the Salesforce Sales Enablement domain. This role owns end-to-end technical leadership for the Sales Enablement program focused on the Salesforce Wealth instance and related initiatives, including Envestnet integration and broader Salesforce transformation efforts.

This is a hands-on, player/coach role with direct team leadership responsibility. The successful candidate will lead Wealth delivery, set technical direction, manage stakeholders across the enterprise, and drive innovation on the Salesforce platform, including responsible use of AI.

About the Role

The Salesforce Master Engineer & Technical Team Lead will:

Own technical leadership for the Salesforce Wealth domain

Lead and grow a team of Salesforce engineers supporting Wealth initiatives

Drive the technical roadmap, architecture, and modernization strategy

Partner closely with business, technology, and vendor stakeholders

Ensure high-quality, scalable, and secure Salesforce solutions

Champion innovation, including advanced platform capabilities and AI-enabled solutions

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership

Lead and manage Salesforce engineers supporting Wealth squads

Provide coaching, and mentorship for team members

Foster a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement

Support hiring, onboarding, and team capacity planning

Technical Leadership & Architecture

Own and influence architecture, design, and implementation of Salesforce Wealth solutions

Ensure platform health, performance, scalability, and security

Establish and enforce engineering standards, best practices, and governance

Perform and oversee code reviews across all levels of engineers

Design and implement complex solutions using both configuration and custom development

Delivery & Program Ownership

Own technical delivery for the Sales Enablement program on the Salesforce Wealth platform

Lead complex, cross-functional initiatives including third-party integrations

Manage technical dependencies, risks, and delivery tradeoffs

Partner with product and business leaders to align technology to business outcomes

Oversee release management, support models, and operational readiness

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

Build strong, trust-based relationships with business leaders, product owners, and technology partners

Collaborate with enterprise architecture, data, security, and risk partners

Manage external vendors and partners supporting Wealth initiatives

Translate complex technical concepts into clear business-level communication

Innovation & Platform Advancement

Champion adoption of new Salesforce capabilities and emerging technologies

Drive responsible use of AI and automation on the Salesforce platform

Lead proof-of-concepts and pilot initiatives for new capabilities

Continuously identify opportunities to simplify, modernize, and improve the platform

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience

10+ years of overall IT experience

7+ years of deep, hands-on Salesforce platform experience

Strong expertise in Salesforce architecture, custom development, integrations, data, and security

Proven experience leading large, complex Salesforce implementations

Demonstrated team leadership, coaching, or team lead experience

Experience working in highly regulated or complex enterprise environments

Strong communication skills and ability to partner effectively with diverse stakeholders

Experience with Agile delivery methodologies and full SDLC ownership

Preferred Qualifications

Salesforce certifications (Administrator, Platform Developer, Architect, Financial Services Cloud, Agentforce, Data 360)

Experience supporting Wealth Management or Financial Services platforms

Experience with large-scale integrations and data orchestration

Familiarity with AI-enabled Salesforce capabilities and governance considerations

Experience influencing platform strategy and enterprise-level technical roadmaps

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $96,000.00 - $181,000.00 annually. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for incentive compensation which may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives.
