About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Platform Engineer for Redis Platform & AI Enablement to help design, build, and evolve the enterprise Redis platform while advancing AI-driven platform engineering capabilities. This role is responsible for establishing platform standards, driving automation, self-service, intelligent operations, and AI-enabled solutions that improve scalability, reliability, security, and operational efficiency across Redis deployments on both virtualized and OpenShift-based environments. The engineer will partner with infrastructure, architecture, security, risk, and application teams to modernize the platform and establish foundational capabilities that support enterprise adoption, AI use cases, and next-generation platform services

In this role, you will:

Lead complex initiatives to develop and enhance Redis platform infrastructure supporting enterprise business applications and AI-powered workloads.

Design, build, deploy, and maintain Redis platform solutions across virtualized and containerized environments

Define and implement platform architecture, engineering standards, and operational best practices

Develop AI-assisted automation frameworks and self-service capabilities for Redis provisioning, configuration management, upgrades, and lifecycle management

Evaluate emerging AI, machine learning, vector database, semantic search, and Redis AI capabilities to support future platform strategy

Design intelligent operational workflows that leverage AI to improve incident response, troubleshooting, capacity planning, and operational efficiency

Review and analyze significant platform incidents and outages to identify root causes and implement preventive and predictive remediation capabilities

Design and develop APIs, workflows, and automation solutions supporting Redis platform operations and developer self-service

Establish observability, monitoring, alerting, capacity planning, and performance engineering practices using AI-driven insights where appropriate

Collaborate with architecture, security, risk, compliance, and infrastructure teams to implement enterprise controls and governance requirements

Support disaster recovery, resiliency testing, and business continuity initiatives

Make technical design decisions, identify risks, and contribute to implementation plans for strategic platform initiatives

Drive the adoption of Agile engineering practices, infrastructure-as-code principles, DevSecOps methodologies, and AI-assisted software engineering capabilities

Collaborate with peers, engineers, architects, business partners, and vendors to resolve issues and achieve platform objectives

Provide technical leadership and mentorship across engineering and operations teams supporting Redis platform services

Required Qualifications:

5+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, or education

5+ years of experience supporting distributed infrastructure, database, middleware, caching, or platform engineering technologies

Experience with automation, infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and operational tooling

Experience with Linux systems administration and enterprise infrastructure platforms

Experience troubleshooting and resolving complex production issues in high-availability environments

Experience with monitoring, observability, and operational support practices.

Experience developing automation or platform solutions using modern programming and scripting languages

Desired Qualifications:

Redis Enterprise administration, engineering, or architecture experience.

Experience with AI platform technologies, generative AI solutions, vector databases

Experience designing or supporting AI-enabled operational workflows

Experience with Redis Search, Redis Vector Similarity Search, RedisJSON, and AI-related Redis capabilities

Experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes, or cloud-native platform technologies.

Experience developing automation using Java, Python, Ansible, Terraform, or similar technologies

Experience building and supporting self-service platform capabilities and APIs

Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code, Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), and DevSecOps principles

Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, OpenTelemetry, or similar observability platforms

Experience integrating operational workflows with ServiceNow and enterprise automation platforms

Understanding of high availability, disaster recovery, resiliency, and distributed systems design patterns

Experience with capacity planning, performance tuning, and operational readiness practices

Strong collaboration, technical leadership, and stakeholder management skills

Experience supporting enterprise-scale caching, distributed data platforms, database technologies, or AI workloads

Job Expectations:

Support platform lifecycle management activities including upgrades, patching, technology refresh initiatives, and AI capability adoption

Collaborate with enterprise architecture, security, risk, compliance, and AI governance teams

Drive platform modernization through automation, self-service, and AI-powered operational capabilities

Lead initiatives focused on operational efficiency, intelligent automation, reliability, scalability, and platform maturity

Evaluate and implement emerging AI capabilities that enhance developer productivity and operational excellence

Ensure platform solutions align with organizational standards, security requirements, responsible AI principles, and regulatory expectations

Provide technical leadership for strategic Redis platform engineering, AI enablement, and enterprise onboarding initiatives

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.

$119,000.00 - $224,000.00
