Security Engineer
The Opportunity:
Are you looking for an opportunity to share your experience in designing and developing secure cloud platforms to support law enforcement? As a systems security and network security engineer, you can identify the enterprise-wide cloud policies and plans needed to assess vulnerabilities and recommend the best solution and security strategy. We need your experience to lead the development and implementation of security solutions that will support law enforcement.
On our team, you’ll troubleshoot and analyze complex challenges for customers using your knowledge of secure cloud platforms, security architecture, network defense, data protection, and threat monitoring. You’ll use your curiosity for technology and market trends to further research and develop security solutions. Using your knowledge and experience, you’ll assess security threats and implement infrastructure controls.
In this role, you’ll closely impact law enforcement by protecting mission-critical applications and infrastructure. With mentoring, challenging hands-on problem-solving, and opportunities to learn new tools and skills, we focus on growing as a team to make the best solutions for our customers.

What You’ll Work On:
Develop relationships quickly and easily with other teams, communicating the complexities of security with a wide variety of audiences, including senior management.
Implement infrastructure and cybersecurity controls, including enhanced detection and vulnerability capabilities and improved event correlation in large enterprises.
Perform risk and vulnerability assessments in network, system, and application areas.
Leverage big data analytics and traditional security event types to identify advanced threats or indicators of compromise.

You Have:
3+ years of experience in a cloud security role
Experience with mobile security architecture
Ability to brief executives and manage cross-functional security efforts
Ability to lead the design, development, and operations of secure mobile platforms
Ability to be responsible for advanced threat detection, incident response planning, cyber resiliency strategy, and compliance with enterprise and federal security standards
Ability to act as a subject matter expert and collaborate across teams and with external partners to protect mission-critical applications and infrastructure
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
Bachelor's degree
Nice If You Have:
Experience with Microsoft InTune
Experience analyzing complex security data to detect, remediate, and prevent cyber threats
Experience guiding platform and application teams on secure architecture best practices
Experience coordinating vulnerability management activities and provide actionable recommendations
Ability to represent the organization in coordination with industry and government security partners
Ability to ensure compliance with federal and industry standards, including NIST, CNSSI 4009, and DoD policies
Possession of excellent communication and leadership skills
CISSP, CCSP, AWS Security, or GCIH Certification
Vetting:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
