Overview
The Infrastructure Engineer Advisor is responsible for designing, supporting, and improving enterprise directory services, including Active Directory (AD), LDAP, and DNS. This role helps ensure secure, reliable access to systems and applications across a large global environment. The ideal candidate has experience supporting enterprise infrastructure, troubleshooting complex technical issues, and collaborating with teams to deliver secure and scalable technology solutions.
Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and support Active Directory, LDAP, and DNS environments.
Support application migrations between domains and ensure successful integration with directory services.
Respond to and help resolve critical Priority 1 incidents.
Partner with application owners and technical teams to securely integrate applications with Active Directory and LDAP.
Improve identity, access, and entitlement management through directory services technologies.
Provide engineering leadership for infrastructure solutions across multiple locations and domains.
Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure compatibility and performance issues.
Work with IT leaders and partner teams to develop strategies related to endpoint and infrastructure management.
Lead or support infrastructure projects and coordinate work with engineers, contractors, or vendors as needed.
Design and implement new technologies and enhancements to existing systems.
Provide technical guidance and support to other engineers and support teams.
Maintain technical documentation, system configurations, and program libraries.
Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance processes, tools, and technologies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
3+ years of experience supporting enterprise infrastructure in a large-scale environment with 10,000+ users.
Strong experience with Microsoft Active Directory, LDAP, DNS, and Windows Server technologies.
Working knowledge of PowerShell scripting and Group Policy administration.
Experience troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues and performing root cause analysis.
Understanding of ITIL Service Operations processes and best practices.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience with virtualization, networking, and operating systems is preferred.
Experience with Microsoft technologies such as Exchange, Skype/Lync, Citrix, and related tools is a plus.
Knowledge of VMware ESXi, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and LDAP technologies is preferred.
Microsoft or other relevant technical certifications are a plus.
Previous experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise infrastructure solutions in a 24/7 global environment is highly desirable.
Will be required to work on an on-call rotation.
