Senior Software Development Engineer, Loan Servicing Platforms
About your role:
As a Senior Software Development Engineer, Loan Servicing Platforms, you will design, build, and enhance software that supports loan servicing product capabilities within the Finxact Core as a Service platform. You will work with business analysts, engineers, and implementation partners to deliver scalable application features, strengthen software quality, and support cloud-based Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions for financial institutions. Your work helps drive reliable, secure, and effective loan servicing technology that supports client and business outcomes.
What you'll do:
Design, develop, test, and enhance software features that support loan servicing products and related financial services capabilities within the Finxact Core as a Service platform
Build and maintain application components, APIs, and service integrations using Golang, C#, Java, C, REST services, Swagger, JSON, Git, and PostgreSQL in cloud-based environments
Partner with business analysts, engineers, system users, and implementation partners to gather requirements, translate loan servicing business needs into technical solutions, and support implementation outcomes
Improve software quality by increasing automated test coverage, resolving defects, and strengthening application reliability, maintainability, and performance
Lead technical design discussions, review solution approaches, and provide technical guidance to developers while promoting software engineering best practices for loan servicing and financial services platforms
Support integration and delivery activities by working with external partners, applying knowledge of cloud-based Software as a Service (SaaS) technologies, and helping teams execute against implementation goals
Manage multiple development activities, analyze technical and business information, and adapt to changing priorities to deliver time-sensitive work

Experience you'll need to have:
6+ years of experience in software application design and development within financial services, with direct experience supporting loan servicing products, loan operations platforms, core banking, deposit operations, card processing, customer relationship management (CRM), or related enterprise platforms
6+ years of experience developing software and distributed services using Golang, C#, Java, C, or similar object-oriented and service-oriented programming languages in production environments
6+ years of experience designing, building, and integrating application programming interfaces (APIs) and distributed services using Representational State Transfer (REST) services, Swagger or similar API documentation tools, JavaScript Object Notation (JSON), and Git-based development workflows
6+ years of experience working with relational databases, including PostgreSQL, for data modeling, query development, application integration, and performance tuning
6+ years of experience analyzing business and technical requirements and translating them into application design, development, testing, and implementation outcomes
Experience leading technical design discussions, reviewing solution approaches, and guiding other developers without direct people management responsibility
Experience using artificial intelligence (AI)-driven development practices to improve engineering efficiency, code quality, or delivery outcomes
Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, engineering, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience
Experience that would be great to have:
Experience developing software for cloud-based Software as a Service (SaaS) platforms
Experience working with core banking platforms, including Finxact
Experience supporting partner implementations in regulated financial services environments
Experience with automated testing frameworks, continuous integration, and continuous delivery practices
How you'll work:
This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.

Salary Range
$109,000.00 - $182,400.00
These pay ranges apply to employees in New Jersey and New York. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.

For incentive eligible associates, the successful candidate is eligible for an annual incentive opportunity which may be delivered as a mix of cash bonus and equity awards in the Company’s sole discretion.
