Help Build the Future of Neonatal Care
Our mission is simple: help send mothers and infants home healthy. The Infant Care team develops safe, reliable, connected medical devices that support clinicians caring for newborns in critical care environments worldwide.
In this role you’ll develop clinician-facing software used to monitor, manage, and care for some of healthcare’s most vulnerable patients — real-time monitoring displays, clinical workflows, and service tools. NICU clinicians rely on our devices 24/7, so your work directly impacts patient safety, caregiver efficiency, and the quality of care delivered to newborns and mothers around the world.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain clinician-facing applications using Qt/QML and C++
Build real-time displays for patient parameters, trends, alarms, and device status
Create intuitive clinical workflows for NICU and Labor & Delivery, translating UX designs into production software
Develop service and diagnostic tools (software upgrade, calibration, diagnostics, logging, configuration) for field and biomedical engineers
Build backend application services supporting data management and device functionality
Develop automated/unit tests and verification artifacts; participate in code and design reviews
Support software verification, validation, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance activities
Collaborate with Human Factors, Systems Engineering, Clinical, and Product teams to improve usability
Ideal Candidate Profile
We’re seeking experienced engineers with strengths in one or more of the following. Medical device experience is preferred but not required.
Qt/QML application development and C++ software engineering
User interface / user experience development
Desktop or embedded application development
Real-time visualization and monitoring systems
High-reliability software (healthcare, industrial, automotive, aerospace, or similar)
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
4+ years of professional software engineering experience
Strong proficiency in C++
Experience developing user-facing applications with Qt/QML or a similar modern UI framework
Solid software testing, debugging, and code-quality practices; experience with Git and Linux-based environments
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced Qt Quick / QML; embedded or connected device development
Real-time visualization, monitoring systems, or complex user workflows
Translating Figma/UX designs into production applications
REST APIs, MQTT/event-driven architectures, SQLite
CI/CD pipelines, static analysis (Coverity), and automated test frameworks
Regulated development experience; IEC 62304, IEC 62366, or ISO 14971
Usability engineering / human factors; healthcare workflow knowledge; Qt localization
